Tell us: Who is Jay Crownover: as a person and as an author?
I’m the same as both. I’m pretty mellow, march to the beat of my own drum, do what I want to do and what makes me happy. I love to read so it doesn’t take much more than a good book or a new story to make me happy.
[Raccontaci: Chi è Jay Crownover come persona e come autore?
Sono la stessa persona. Sono abbastanza flessibile, cammino al mio ritmo, faccio quello che voglio fare e ciò che mi rende felice. Amo leggere al punto che non ci vuole molto di più di un buon libro o una nuova storia per farmi felice.]
What does it mean for you write?
It’s a dream come true. It’s something I always wanted to do and dreamed about since I could read my first book on my own.

È un sogno che si avvera. È qualcosa che ho sempre voluto fare e sognato da quando ho potuto leggere il mio primo libro per conto mio.]
How was born the idea of your Tattoo Serie?
I wanted to read books that related to my life, that reflected things in my world and things that I’m passionate about. I wanted to write about what my life was like when I was younger and I wanted to see people like me painted on the pages.

Ho sempre voluto leggere libri che si avvicinassero alla mia vita, che riflettessero le cose nel mio mondo e le cose che mi appassionano. Volevo scrivere di ciò che era la mia vita quando ero più giovane e volevo vedere le persone come me dipinte sulle pagine.]
Which of your books is your favorite one?
They all are for different reasons. I wouldn’t have committed to writing them if I didn’t love them.

Lo sono tutti, per motivi diversi. Non mi impegno a scriverli se io non li amo.]
Which of your female characters do you love most and why?
I don’t have a favorite, of either gender. They are all unique and have their own place in my heart. Of all of them I’m most attached to Asa because I spent the most time with him throughout the series….plus I love his accent and his swagger.

Self-quote: is there a sentence in your books you feel most fond of?
Most of my favorite quotes are from the Point series which hasn’t been translated into Italian. I do love it when Jet says all the best songs are about a girl.

Which of your books of Tattoo Serie would you like to made into a movie?
Again I actually think the Point series would make a better movie…there’s so much action and suspense on each page…plus Bax was born to be on the big screen

Give us a tip: what’s the secret of being a great writer?
Work hard, write all the time, practice your craft, tell the story you want to tell not one you thing will sell, be interactive with readers and just keep going even when it seems impossible.

Are you working on some new projects?
I’m working on the rest of the Saints of Denver series which follows the Marked Men and I’m finishing up the Point series…I have a few special projects lined up as well
