Patterns for sale
How to sell your own sewing patterns?
You can sell your patterns on online
platforms like Etsy .
Most sites charge a small commission
for each sale.
Can I sell my handmade items? Yes!
You can sell handcrafted products online
via your own store Etsy!
Is each handmade product unique.
Unlike gifts that are mass-produced, you
will often find unique differences in each
handmade item, which really makes the
product and the purchase very special.
Nobody in the whole world will have exactly
the same item. I’m sharing my collection of
handmade cloth dolls and giving you
inspiration for making dolls.

My story
My name is Rossella Usai and I am Dollmakers
for more than twenty years. My story begins
after I became a mother to an enchanting
little girl and four years ago I also became
a grandmother!
I never stopped to love Dollmaking..
Everything I make and sell is safe for the
children, although (as a mum) I would always
recommend supervision for under threes!

Instructions on How to Sew a Doll
Cut all pieces on double folded fabric,
unless otherwise directed.
Body: cut 2;
Head: cut 2;
Arm: two pairs;
Legs: two pair.
I sew seams before cutting out the
body parts.
After drawing the pattern pieces onto a
double layer of fabric, folded with right
sides together, I pin all the parts together
inside the lines. The parts are already
together, pinned and ready to sew.
Just sew on line you drew.
Be sure to follow pattern pieces, noting
areas marked “leave open”.
Skip these spots when sewing seams.
Add 1/4″ seam allowance to openings, as
you cut. Other seam allowances can be
narrower, for easy turning, as long
as you keep at least 1/8″ seam allowance
throughout.
